Milan vs Cagliari, probable lineups

With Ibrahimovic injured, coach Stefano Pioli will make some forced changes for tonight’s AC Milan vs Cagliari.

AC Milan face Cagliari on tonight and could secure qualification in the Champions League with one round to spare. A very important milestone after eight years of absence from the most prestigious European competition.

The Rossoneri arrive from three consecutive victories against Benevento, Juventus and Torino. Pioli needs another win in Milan vs Cagliari in order to celebrate access to the Champions League for the next season. The Italian match will practically confirm the same starting eleven seen in recent matches.

No doubts or changes in the back four. By now Fikayo Tomori is the fixed partner of Simon Kjaer at the center of the defence. Theo Hernandez will play on the left with Davide Calabria on the right. Gianluigi Donnarumma, as usual, between the posts.

Ismael Bennacer has returned in top form and will play alongside Franck Kessie in midfield. Some forced changes up front. Alexis Saelemaekers is back after the one-match suspension and takes his place on the right wing with Hakan Calhanoglu on the other flank.

Brahim Diaz will be again in support of the centre forward. The Spanish talent has played a key role in recent victories. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who suffered an injury against Juventus, is expected to stay out for a long time. Also Matteo Gabbia is injured and not available.  Ante Rebic will lead the attack for Milan vs Cagliari and probably for much longer.
